The original Derviche was all about hookah- that famously syrupy, fruit-infused Middle Eastern tobacco amber scent burst off the skin, deliciously sweet and seductively animalic. For the follow-up, Manny Cross set out to reimagine Derviche, keeping mostly the same ingredients but completely reconfiguring the proportions to produce a very different scent. Derviche II is still a beguilingly sweet amber fragrance, but this one has traded its syrup for a vibrant freshness, evident from the blast of tart citrus and invigorating herbaceousness of the dynamic opening.
