When Clementine Cope stepped foot into the snow, deeper than her knees, she knew it was the last time. Leaving the rural Montana home where she had grown up, with no plans other than to follow the sunset, she got up each morning and headed into the warmth. Her journey covers thousands of miles and offers her first view of the ocean. When summer arrives, Clem is consumed by an incomprehensible joy. Eventually, he stops traveling when he settles into a run-down surf camp with new friends from the hills of Topanga, California.
